"The Indian News" was the official magazine edited by Indian Motocycle Company. It is a very useful source to trace the history of our beloved and praised Model 340.

My collection spans the era of 1939 - 1945. There are still a few magazines missing. I do buy every missing magazine in its original form (prefered) or any good scan or copy.

"DAS MOTORRAD" was a German publication for motorcycling enthusiasts. They published some very interesting articles about Indian Model 340.
Already during the "Westfeldzug" and after the surrender of France, the German Wehrmacht got hold of a large batch of Indian Model 340’s which they used for their own "Schnelle Truppen" and "Kradmelder". A lot of photographic evidence will be published in my book.

Nr 10 - 02 Mar 1940
Nr 22 - 25 Mai 1940
Nr 34 - 17 Aug 1940
1943: Nr 6 - 20 Mar 1943
The most interesting and amazing articles were published in Nr 34 / 1940 and in Nr 6 / 1943. They even give an extensive description; almost a User Manual in German language and converted into metric units. Also great pictures !
